As CEO of Axion Strategic Advisors, Kristen Wilkinson brings executive-level perspective grounded in over 20 years of technical tax and accounting expertise. Her background as a CPA and MBA allows her to bridge financial precision with long-term corporate strategy.
Prior to founding the firm in 2019, Wilkinson served as a Tax Manager at a Top 5 national accounting firm and acted as a specialized tax consultant for one of the world’s largest international tax preparation software companies. Demonstrating a deep commitment to advanced technical education, she has also served as a graduate-level tax instructor at Winthrop University.
Throughout her two decades of experience, Wilkinson has developed a comprehensive mastery of complex tax structures across diverse sectors, including closely held businesses, medical practices, real estate, retail, investment, and financial services.

Katie Dykhuis brings a powerful combination of technical tax strategy, financial operations, and elite client advisory support to Axion Strategic Advisors. As an Enrolled Agent (EA) holding both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Business Administration, she leverages over 20 years of robust management experience to help clients navigate complex tax and accounting landscapes with absolute precision.
Dykhuis initiated her career within a “Big 5” consulting firm, specializing in human resources, recruitment operations, and business process outsourcing (BPO). She subsequently expanded her operational portfolio within the public higher education sector, where she successfully built and managed large-scale operations and engineered the enrollment management technology and workflows for more than 25 graduate degree programs.
At Axion, Dykhuis directs the firm’s internal systems and procedures, ensuring peak operational efficiency and a seamless client experience.
